transfer of responsibilities from the Local Authority.
Appointment came from recognition of commercial marketing and fundraising acumen. The Company
was recognised as the most successful leisure trust in the UK 2008/2009 financial year; and top ten
operator in "Plimsoll Industry Analysis" 2010/2011.
Asked to 'champion' Stockport's legacy planning associated with the London 2012 Olympic games. Selected
from the Board of Directors to be a catalyst and mentor working in conjunction with nominated senior
managers at the Trust combined with selected strategic partners. Also, initiated involvement with flagship,
"Stockport Sports Village" after an earlier successful funding bid prepared by him had come to fruition. Now
trades as "Life Leisure" brand.

“I have known Adrian Stores since 2001 when he joined the Board of Directors of the Stockport Sports
Trust at the inception of this company. I was, at that time, and until 2007 the Chief Executive of the Trust.
I retired from this post in 2007 at which time Adrian remained on the Board and continues to support the
Stockport Sports Trust, the largest leisure provider in town, as a Director. His expertise in the
Sports/Leisure marketing and management arena proved invaluable; we worked on a number of
projects and his contribution was a major factor in achieving successful outcomes.
Adrian Stores is an executive who is easy to work with and his knowledge, experience across a wide
range and enthusiasm for the subject matter ensures objectives and deadlines are met. He will, I know,
